On or about January 4, 2011, the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board decertified your previous certification and ability to practice as a law enforcement officer in Illinois under 50 ILCS 705/6.1, as a result of your being found guilty on or about March 20, 2009, in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Criminal Division, in case 08 CR 0899101, of one or more counts under 720 ILCS 5/12-4, (re-numbered as 720 ILCS 5/12- 3.05 on or about July 1, 201 1), "Aggravated Battery," and/or one or more counts under 720 ILCS 5/33-3, "Official Misconduct," a conviction deemed to be a decertification under the Illinois Police Training Act, 50 ILCS 705/1, el seq., thereby impeding the Department's efforts to achieve its policy and goals and/or bringing discredit upon the Department.
